Have you ever heard the saying "The grass is always greener on the other side"?
Well, our grass is still under snow for the most part, but it's plenty green around here anyway!
We're getting 'green and clean' with our
Spring Cleaning Challenge, I've started some plants in my aerogarden and as soon as I have a minute will be planting my tomatoe and pepper seedlings and a few others soon for my 'green garden' this year - simply a must for good health.
I hope to spend quite a bit of time in our garden this summer, but if you don't have room or time, go small! You can go with square foot gardening, container gardening and just grow your own greens!
They will go a loooooooooong way to better health. I think if I could think of one addition to my diet that makes the most difference not counting water, it would be eating more greens.
WHAT NOT TO EAT
The other thing that I've been trying lately is 'What Not To Eat', which for me is gluten/wheat/hard cheese/processed foods.
After getting frustrated with the bloated feeling I was having even when I was eating healthy and clean, and faithfully doing my exercises I decided to see what would happen if I cut out the cheese and wheat at a new level.
I already knew that they effected me so I had cut down quite a bit on them.
So I cut down some more.
And then I spent 3 days eating none.
What a difference!
I noticed that the heavy feeling was gone. I feel a ton lighter and more comfortable.
My stomach looks flatter. I'm still no bikini model, but it is better which is great because that's 'the spot' that I'm working on.
I had more energy.
My skin looked better - more even tone which is great because I have a tendency to redness and a bit of my old glow back.
And I found myself feeling less stressed.
A GREEN SMOOTHIE CHALLENGE? TOO HARD TO RESIST!
As if by fate, I also came across the Green Smoothie Queen Challenge.
7 days of challenging yourself to either start drinking some green smoothies, more green smoothies or all green smoothies.
I already have been drinking one most days, but I would love to step it up a notch to see what happens, so I'm in!
Unfortunately, it's not always open and I caught it at the tail end of registration, but I am going to start a
SMOOTHIES AND RAW FOODS FORUM and post my experiences and tips for you.
I did go for the full version however, which came with 2 green smoothie ebooks, packed full of info, tips and recipes.
You can order that at any time.
I wanted to know more about how it all worked, some of the finer details about them and that kind of thing, so it was very helpful and even inspiring.
You can check it out here.
