I've been doing my
BOOST Circuit for awhile now but today is the first day that I am starting my BOOST journal.
I will record what went well, surprised me, was interesting etc and also what I may be able to do better.
As time goes by, it will be a good record to go over and get ideas from.
I've done this kind of thing in the past and it can often be repetitive.
But in the repetition I can identify weak areas and see that I need to take action on them. And through my own suggestions, there will be gold nuggets of my own advice :0)
So today my biggest surprise was when I did our downstairs bathroom.
First observation. Since it's on the bottom floor I am inclined to leave it and do the main floor of our house.
I need to work on better balance, although that will come and I am seeing it already as I make headway.
I don't need to spend as long in those rooms anymore which is freeing me up to expand my reach.
Maybe it's just a matter of time and patience and decided which approach I want to use - a little at a time everywhere or concentrated efforts on designated rooms (or room) and then on to the next.
At any rate, the bathroom was a disaster and had been for at least a few days.
I had been feeling that it was going to take a lot of chipping to make headway there.
SURPRISE!
I did one 5 minute session in one problem area. At the end it was finished.
So I decided to use another 5 minute time slot to work on the rest.
I worked fast because I really wanted the same results in this area (and that is part of the magic of the system - concentrated effort in a designated time pocket.)
The bathroom came out looking like a new room in 10 minutes!
So that was my win for the day.
My lesson was to never assume that things will be insurmountable or a big deal before I try.
Come to think of it, that has often been a reason for things being left as they are. I ASSUME that I don't have time to clean it because it will take so long, when in reality 5 or 10 minutes can make a huge difference.
I am trying to do better at documenting my progress so I took some pictures. I will be posting them shortly.
