Today I realized as I pecked away at my
BOOST Housework Circuit that in a relatively short time I've achieved a freedom that I has been missing for quite some time.
The freedom to go somewhere if I choose without having to leave the house in a state or scheduling time to clean up.
The freedom to have people drop by without my scurrying to clean something up, or feeling 'caught' again because I hadn't gotten around to one thing or the other.
What a feeling.
As I delve deeper, every day, one of the biggest surprises seems to be not only in how much better things are looking, but in the weight off of my shoulders. As I look around I don't see things that I need to do, but wonder when that will be.
I see things that are taken care of and that I can be proud of.
I feel like I am doing my job to take care of my family.
That's a big win.
WHAT DID I LEARN TODAY?
I learned that often we cap ourselves by our own thinking. Had I been trying to clean up until it suited me, or was good enough, I never would have gone beyond.
Since I've stopped thinking in those terms, and think only 'what can I do today in the time that I have put aside to do my daily BOOST, my house has taken on a whole new level on 'hominess'.
It's a great lesson that I'm sure I can apply to other things. My health and weight loss efforts is one of them.
I am going to be approaching it in much the same way as I have been my house over on my
Sizzlin' blog - Healthy Habits. It's been rather neglected lately.
I'll keep you posted.
