Living Clean
Day 5 - Long Time No Blog!
You may have noticed that there were some problems accessing the iShine site. I got out of the habit of writing my daily BOOST blog post so I am going to pick it back up now!
I am still going strong and getting more blown away every day at what has been happening here.
The biggest win is that my family members have really been jumping on board.
My son was kind of tip toeing across the kitchen floor. He had been helping his dad do some lifting so I thought he hurt himself. I asked him and he said no, he was trying not to get dirt on the floor! (ok, he did have his shoes on, but before this, there would have been no thought to attempt to keep the floor clean, mostly because it would have already been dirty anyway.)
Then I was cleaning the table yesterday and my daughter was on her way upstairs. She did an about face and came and did the dishes instead. Those are mainly her chores. But she said that she thought that since I was cleaning up, that she should go and do hers too. Pick me up off the floor first!
My youngest has become a non stop home decor planner. She will chat my ear off all day long if I let her about what we can do here, what we can do there. There are now so many possibilities. She can be a bit of a taskmaster, and I have to fight to get my way sometimes, but I have to admit, it's kind of cute and so nice to see her involved and using her creativity. Can't wait till she gets her own house for me to decorate, heehee.
Maybe the biggest change has been in my husband.
Before now he showed no interest in much of anything to do with upgrading etc. If it was an emergency, he'd fix it, but as far as aesthetics go, it just wasn't a priority for him.
He built our house with his dad and brother and it is yet unfinished. So that was a real problem!
But he has been steadily working every weekend since very shortly after I started working on my BOOST Circuit every day and I am seeing some miraculous changes, especially in the yard outside.
I will post some pictures soon although I am wishing that I had taken more.
The big kicker was on Friday he got home from work early and wanted to jump right in to a big clean up job we had to do. Good thing because it rained all day Saturday and he was able to finish up with our son on Sunday.
Something I could do better?
It's going quite well, but if I really wanted to, I could be doing a few more time pockets so that a few of my problem areas would get cleaned up faster.
But on the other hand, it is working now and I don't want to mess too much with it.
So all in all, there isn't too much that I would change for today :0)
