I gave away a full sized photocopier and the relief is enormous - such an opening up of empty space.
The house is coming on - but is still a long way off dazzling.
Today I am clearing a wooden filing cabinet - one of those little ones that fits under the desk.
It is in the area by the piano and I am going to bring it out of there and put it where the photocopier was - to sort - but ultimately it can go out. It could go up to Ronaldo's room or could go under my desk if need be - I need to work it all out.

Then need to begin to organize my work papers. [Nowadays instead of using the word 'try' I use the word 'begin'.
This week I also began to tackle the kitchen's worst nightmare cupboard - moved a lot of things out - they can go in the shed - and the shed can be cleared in the spring. 2 or 3 things to outhouse. Some can go in garage. Quite a few things went into the bin. It is still pretty much crammed, but I can have another session next time the task comes round.
Today I am beginning some serious menu planning for next week, and later in the afternoon a shopping trip to do the grocery haul that enables the recipes. I have a freezer full of cooked beef and turkey from Chrismas and this should make everything a lot easier.
In the kitchen I am going to clear the worktops - this is a catchup job from earlier in the week.
The cupboards are crammed again and I need to work out what we can eat to make empty space in there.
I have moved a huge amount of stuff into the bedroom again to clear the living area. A computer man might be coming however, so there may be an emergency shift - and luckily all this stuff is bagged. I am tempted to get some boxes and move it all out into the outhouse to sort from there.
However, it is not as bad as before and you can walk round it - it is organised clutter.
Just for today I am going to tidy clothing and make sure there is enough space to walk round furniture and some clear floor to walk around in.
Also starting on the under-stairs area - I want to empty this completely and start again.
Finally the car needs a quick clear out and top-up with water.
So this will be a busy day - as I have to do my tax return after that.
