My washer has been broken down for the last 2 weeks. The 2nd repair guy who was called told me he would be here today, so I spent a good part of my BOOST time (double day!) and today's BOOST fine tuning the bathroom - it's one of those bathrooms that grows clutter all by itself I'm sure. It is more like a utility/bathroom I guess.
Anyway, it looks great!
Since I had done quite a bit of cleaning over past BOOST sessions and some deep cleaning days it wasn't that bad but did need a good go over. I did things that I normally don't like get out the goo be gone and finally clean the sticker guck off the front door, run a cloth around the edges of the floor that seem to collect massive dirt (it's a painted basement floor) and cleared all the collected junk off the tops of the washer/dryer.
The funny thing is that now it is pretty much 100%, I am really prepared to go deeper. I can clearly see the only thing that is still dirty in the room - the shower has got some grunge that needs to be cleaned with a toothbrush and cleaner around the seals.
I think I'll do a super dooper shower clean out and call that bathroom ready to put up the wallpaper border in!
It made me think that cleaning like there is a repair guy coming isn't such a bad game. I am going to add it to our games page! I just put it together last night.
You can see it here or on your products page.
There will be a few new games coming up over the next weeks. With summer time coming, maybe we can come up with some good games to do with the kids!
POCKETS AND WASHING MACHINE FILTER CLEAN OUT SAVES REPAIR BILLS!
BTW, the problem was nails, a tooth pick, money, an ear plug and some lint in the filter. Nails! That I am willing to bet would be from my son's pockets.
The repair guy showed me how to take the front off and clean the filter (the manual says self cleaning, it probably doesn't account for nails and toothpicks) so now I am good to go.
If you know how to clean your filter, it is a good habit to get into - also if your washing machine requires or has a clean cycle - it's a good idea to do it regularly. Could save yourself some money and down time (and laundry matt time!) later.
I sat down, had a tea and just watched the washer spin. Better than TV!
My 18 year old daughter is ecstatic. I texted her that it was done so she texted m back - Yayyyy, start that baby up!!!! I want that shoot empty when I get home!!
She's at that funny stage where she likes to wear clean clothes - go figure!
