I finished up the bedroom portion of the Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge and really was amazed at how much stuff I took out of the room and how I got some shelves cleaned and tidied that I had 'looked at' for years. I even found a love letter to my brother written about 20 years ago. Don't ask me how I got it!
And I found about 100lbs of coins that need to be wrapped and taken to the bank. I didn't get them wrapped, but the will be my new 'leisure time' job when I'm lounging around on our deck. I will be looking forward to paying down some credit card debt - giving me a return of about 20% on the dollar. Not too shabby!
I had a busy week and got slightly off schedule so decided that since I was off a bit anyway to adjust my schedule to having Monday's off and starting with Tuesdays. It works better for me and then I can remember exactly what day I need to be working on without looking at my checklist. Thanks to Kathrine, who is doing the challenge as well, for pointing her plan out to me, it gave me the idea!
All in all, not only was I pleased with the new clean look of my bedroom, but with the motivation to get moving on some projects in it that I had been putting off for far too long.
Tomorrow will be on to the living room.
I'm quite excited.
My living room doesn't need a whole lot, but there is a little cubby under our stairs beside the living room that is a mess magnet and I can't wait to tackle that.
So onward ho! Here's to another productive week of tackling mess and peace towards mankind - or at least our livingroom!
I hope that you are planning on having a great week of conquering your mess coming up too!
