Living Clean

I have been to Sparkpeople and downloaded 2 menu plans. One is for 'this week' and one is for 'next week'. I have also recorded my weight and measurements etc. The good news is, I am losing weight again.

I have been quite tempted by some menu-planning software, but I can't buy anything at the moment because of my deep financial crisis. However, they do have free menu-reading software and free menu-reading books and free menu books. One day when my finances are better I could buy it - or I can just use some other database and spreadsheet software already on my computer. But everything at Sparkpeople is very good and free, so I may as well use that. It might add to my Spark points.

So my task today is to put these Sparkpeople menus into a file. There was a make a menu task that I was supposed to do way back when, and so this is my belated response to that challenge.

What I am going to do now is to use the menu plan as a reference, and plan shopping lists etc. But in the mean time I am also going to record what I really end up eating. Then I can adjust the menu plans where needed. The Sparkpeople menus are pretty good though and do chime in fairly well both with Weight Watchers and with what I am already eating. If I can afford it I want to go back to WW at least for a few months as I really like the plan and want to access my online records again. I may be able to transfer all my stats from there to Sparkpeople, but I don't know if I can record retrospectively. We'll see.

Anyway, today I am starting in the bedroom again as the kitchen was left fairly good last night. I will be shifting stuff out of the blackspot far area of the bedroom and working out what to do with it. This is now an ongoing daily task, and then I also need to maintain the rest that is already clear. I feel a new excitement about all this as there is a real shift in there.

In the living room, I am still processing the Christmas stuff. The main challenge this year is to store everything together so it can all be found again when it is needed.

I gave away my crib people, Mary Joseph and the baby Jesus to become a family in a dolls house I donated to a raffle - which was new and was packed up in the loft. This went to my friend Simon, and he and his wife Sheila assembled this for their grand-daughter Katie. So while Mary and Joseph were once more looking for a stable this year, I said - Look guys it's Christmas and time you moved home. So off they went... And of course Sunday is bathroom day always, so I am going to put in a short burst on the bathroom floor - which is much better since I worked on it before. And now I have begun to make a start on the linen cupboard, I will do a little work on there.

The linen cupboard deserves its own blog post, so I will not get too carried away here.
