Do you ever just not feel like doing your house cleaning schedule?
Want to fluff it off?
Once in awhile that probably isn't going to be a big deal, but of course the problem starts when that once in awhile works into a regular thing.
I noticed this last week with my dishes (where do they all come from? the same place as the laundry I guess!)
I was exhausted one night and just couldn't bring myself to go over the kitchen before I went to bed to take care of any dishes that needed to be done/wiping up etc. The next night was busy and I was still tired, maybe coming down with something, so I skipped my night time kitchen routine again.
I NOTICED THE DIFFERENCE IMMEDIATELY IN THE MORNINGS
Nothing went smoothly. I didn't wake up and stumble out to the kettle feeling calm and good.
I was slightly stressed by the mess and had to move stuff to even get to the kettle.
The day just didn't get off to the right start. It was like starting one step behind (or more).
The next day it was even worse.
By that evening I can tell you, there was no way I was going to go another night!
But there is something that I've noticed at night when I really don't feel like doing stuff but at the same time feel good that I am doing it because I know the benefit I will get from having the clear and clean spaces.
JUST KEEP MOVING
If I make a deal with myself that I just need to keep moving for the time that I've given myself, that's all I need to worry about.
I ask myself what else I could possibly be doing that would make me feel as good as getting the mess out of the way.
I don't need to argue with myself whether or not I REALLY NEED to be doing this.
I just need to keep moving.
AS LONG AS I'M DOING THAT, I'M GETTING SOMEWHERE
What difference does it really make whether or not I am sitting at the computer or at the TV?
None really. When it's over, it's over with nothing accomplished.
But if I can keep the deal with myself to keep moving, it makes a huge difference.
I can wake up and feel good.
I can help my daughter to get her lunch without KAOS.
I can get her breakfast (she like cream of wheat or oatmeal in the am) without having to wash anything.
I can go through the day feeling good, get to work feeling fresh without feeling like I should be cleaning something.
Since I use my
BOOST Circuit, it makes the principal of keeping moving really easy. I just glance at it as I'm moving along and VOILA!
So the moral of the story is, those times that you really don't feel like it, just tell yourself to keep moving - pick a time and tell yourself you can stop at that time.
And know that you will be one step ahead when you are finished (or more!)
It feels good.
