Spring brings with it new life and new beginnings.
But these are ALWAYS better when the old garbage is swept aside.
Despite best intentions, there are too many tomorrow to do it, then suddenly they are gone.
Overnight it seems, cleaning up for spring has gone from something to do tomorrow, to an urgent task in danger of not getting finished at all. And where does that leave us?
In a mess.
Upon old mess.
How much nicer would it be to start summer fresh.
Haver you ever noticed that mess makes stress?
Stress that you may have accepted as part of life.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
The answer is quite simple.
There is an easier way.
You can use it for spring cleaning and you can use it to keep your house clean.
Five words are all that you need to remember.
PRIORITIZE
PLANNING
CONSISTENCY
ACTION
ACHIEVEMENT
Prioritize: In this case, you want to make spring cleaning a priority in your life.
Planning: Make a simple plan that works for you. The time it takes to do this will pay for itself many times over.
Action: Do it.Getting started is the hard part. Finishing makes it all worth it.
Consistency: Do it. Then do it again. Consistently.
Achievement: See and feel the difference in your house. Absorb the feeling of accomplishment and peace. Know that you can do this. And keep doing it.
TIP: It all goes back to priorities. When you are waffling, take a minute to get clear again on why you are doing this and why it is important to you and your family, in the big picture and small.
PUTTING IT INTO PRACTICE
Make a plan.
Do it consistently.
Over and over.
Enjoy your achievement and let it motivate you to do it again.
You can apply this formula to everything in your life.
At the moment, I'm off to do my
20 minute spring cleaning challenge task for the day.
The challenge is a great example of putting these principles into action.
I'm seeing massive results in every room I've worked on so far even though I was delayed by the flu. I'm am totally revved and raring to go and looking forward to the improvements in my home that this week is going to bring.
