Profile Information

About Me:
My daughter and I are struggling to operate a small skin care business in Orlando, Fl. We have an incredible supply of materials on hand - essential oils, carrier oils, plant extracts, you name it. Unfortunately she just had a baby and I am in Nova Scotia 6 months per year.....but we are tenacious and will get there eventually...wish us luck!
Do you own any eBooks or courses from the Queen of KAOS network of websites:
None
What is your biggest challenge:
See note above
What has prevented you from success in thepast:
My inability to build my website.....I don't know what I'm doing and am self-teaching myself. I have completed 2 Aromatherapy Certification classes but have not yet taken the tests...1) Pacific Inst. for Aromatherapy; and 2) Katherine Graf's Aromatherapy Certification Course.
How can the iShine Community help you to achieve your goals:
Good question - I guess to simply keep the information coming.
What can you contribute to the iShine Community to help others achieve their goals:
My charm and wit?????

Thanks for the sound advice. I'm in Nova Scotia right now and all the ingredients I need for my finals on the Katherine Graf Arom. Course are in Florida! I've done the written test already for her but still have to complete the practicals (blending/creating workbook, etc.) But agree to make that a priority.
the Pacific Inst. of Aromatherapy test is mostly chemistry (ick!) so I've avoided it - shame on me - I learned a great deal in the PIA course, but find Katherine's much more useful and informational, so FYI if you decide to finally get to taking a course, definitely look into hers - I'd give you her website address, but it's down in Florida! I am soooooo disorganized. thanks again

Hi Aileen, I'm so happy to see you here! We can always use charm and wit!

Going from my own experience in trying to decide what order to do things etc, I think it would be a good idea to get your tests finished for your aromatherapy courses (I've thought about taking one for years, your way ahead of me!)

Otherwise, you will find your website taking your time and you may never get to it and you won't have the same presence that you would if you have your test and certificate.

I've done the same thing with a nutritional consultants course that I took and still haven't done the final test. It's on my list!

Meantime, play around with what you would like to offer on your site, recipes etc. When it's live, if you get busy you won't have much time for that either, unless you are careful to structure it and make it a priority.

Focus on one thing and get it finished, that works best for me. If it works best to focus on one test at a time, decide which one and put aside some time to work on it daily or every other day (what ever works, as long as it is consistent)

I have some new stuff on focus and productivity on my wahm blog at http://www.queenofkaos.com/WAHMblog under podcast - I have a new one coming this week in the series (WAHM in Focus)

hth!

Keep us posted!
