Keeping above this darn economy.

For a long time I was devaluing my training and not charging at the going rate.
I wanted to help everyone, and took far to many clients on "pro-bono".

Another thing that I've noticed for myself is that as a mom it seems a double whammy. I first noticed symptoms of distraction when my first child was born.

I was taking a correspondence course and instead of being thorough with my answers as I always had been (I'm a detail person at heart) I was skimming. I remember my teacher commenting on it.

I seem to have worked it into a habit ever since, more and more so since having more kids, the computer to distract me and more responsibilities.

That probably wouldn't be classed as clinical ADHD but maybe there is a term such as Aquired Adult ADHD :0)

Thanks for the book reference, I think I've heard of it but never read it, I will add it to my list!

Hi Lisa, In today's world, I think that ADHD has not only become a buzz word, but it is acquired as a symptom of today's electronic society and a large reason that we have such a hard time staying focused enough to achieve anything - such as peace in our homes through a regular routine.

It's certainly been true for me in the past until I consciously identified and started working on it.
