KEEP IT SIMPLE The power of using Go Groups is to create a concentrated focused time slot with a little accountability thrown in for good measure.
To do that, here are the rules...
Go Groups start exactly at the designated start time and end at the duration end time.
The rule is that we get in, get out and get on with the good stuff of life!
Come on a few minutes early to announce your project and let us know that you are participating and at the end to announce your progress and your plan to maintain momentum in the future (create another go group or when you will pencil in another work session in your planner)
That's all there is to it!

Well, back home early as planned. We are having a major sandstorm today which is NOT good news! I will have to sweep and wipe everything down tomorrow, and it is impossible to line- dry any laundry. I have 15 minutes to get started on the closet, I have to be totally ruthless and toss all the things that are not 'earning their keep'. Will keep you posted!
I love that, I have to do it to - 'be totally ruthless and toss the things that are not earning their keep'!
I have found myself floundering at times by keeping things that are just keeping me on the treadmill of living around them and moving things around.
GO Fee!!
Wednesday--change in plans. My kitchen sink is stopped up and I've tried drano, boiling water, and this wire thing. It's time for the plumber. Meantime, there's a bunch of dishes to do since I can't run the dishwasher. So it's the kitchen for 15 minutes.
Happy cleaning today!
Mary
The kitchen looks a bit more respectable! I can't wait for the plumber to get here.
Thursday--did about 10 minutes today down in the office. I hate decluttering--too many decisions to make!
That almost seems like the worst part of it, especially after you've taken a few passes.
I find that asking myself what is more valuable to me, the stuff or the space - and not having to move it or clean it or look at it ever again - helps a lot.
You've inspired me to tackle my closet (that I'm looking at right now) before I go to bed for 10 maybe 15 minutes tonight since I missed my 5:30 tonight :0)
I missed Friday 8 a.m.! Got sidetracked on the computer. I still need to get the stuff back under the sink, that's my home project for the day. The plumber had to move everything Wednesday and Thursday. It's good to have the kitchen sink useable again.
I also want to clean the counters and sweep the floor.
Good luck, everyone, with your projects today. Have a great weekend.
Saturday--I'm going to do 15 minutes. I missed Friday's session. Today I'll work in the bathroom.
I got interrupted but one of them looks better! Even a few minutes gets the place looking better. Gotta remember that, I always figure I need a big chunk of time, but of course I don't. Just a few minutes here and there through the day. Not sure if I'll make the Sunday morning group.
Good luck all with your weekend cleaning.
Hi Mary! Glad to see that you are making great progress and seeing results, your an inspiration!
I know what you mean about how even a few minutes can make a big difference, especially if they are done consistently.
We had a storm and our power went out today, I'm in the dark on battery power on my laptop right now with my mobile internet stick. Hopefully it will be back on soon.
So I will definitely be doing the am GO Group tomorrow, looking forward to going a step deeper in my closet and also the basement room I worked on last week - I may do two!
I hope you got your power back. That really messes up a day. Pretty industrious of you to get online with your battery pack and mobile stick!
Good luck with the closet.
I don't want to even open my closet doors, afraid I won't be able to close them again!
Sunday, got started about 8:15 (Pacific). Took out the bins, including the food waste. I wiped the counter and started some plastic bags soaking.
Our town recycles food waste once a week. It gets rid of a lot of garbage, but I hate packaging it up in newspaper to take out to the bin. Yuck! And cleaning the sandwich/storage bags isn't that bad, but takes time and space on the counter. All this recycling is great stuff, but there's the prep work involved. I kind of look back with fondness to when we just tossed stuff!
If anyone else is doing this gogroup thing, do you tweet? I've been tweeting, but can't tell if anyone else is. I think Jan has a nice idea with the tweeting--not a lot of investment in time, but a way to connect to fellow cleaners.
Have a great Sunday.
Mary
